In Drag Racing
it is common to see racers place bags of ice on the their intake manifolds
and induction pipes. This system works, but can make a mess with puddles
of water in the intake,
which can cause a safety factor under acceleration.
Chill Factor intake and pipe wraps offer complete coverage, which will
cool the
intake manifold and induction pipes more evenly and faster. This gives
a cooler intake charge
entering the combustion camber without the mess of ice bags.

How do they work?
These
products are activated with water and ice or a cold refrigerator.
They will not leave a wet residue on the vehicle like bags of
ice which leave puddles of water on or underneath the vehicle
which causes the officials to raise havoc with you. Pull
your vehicle out of the staging area! Return to
the pits for the mess you made with the water and bags of ice.
When
the products are activated with water and placed in ice or a
refrigerator, they can get as cold as 40 degrees. Theyll
hold their temperature for a period of time, gradually cooling
back down to its normal temp which is approximately 85 degrees.
They will always feel cold in any room condition or hot environment
and can reach the cooling temperature again in as little as
10 minutes. The best results are achieved using 2 pads or wraps.
Just rotate the wraps in ice bags or coolers/refrigerator. While
a wrap is being used, youll have a spare in reserve. When
not in use, after several days, the products will begin to dry
out. They evaporate like a sponge returning to its original
state, deflated, and ready to be activated again when needed.
