BRAND NEW GENERATION 3 MODEL!!! The AFM MR. FREEZE is simplistic, yet effective. Being activated by boost and metered by jetting, MR. FREEZE is easily optimized. Mr. Freeze is an easy bolt-on for all centrifugal superchargers and turbochargers. In initial testing, AFM has documented up to as much as 90 additional rear wheel horsepower using 93 octiane pump gas. With the proper tuning and 100 octane racing gas, MR. FREEZE was capable of an additional 115 rear wheel horsepower!
Highly recommend tuning. Failure to re-tune the combination for the MR. FREEZE system could result in a loss of horsepower.

For the money, NOTHING on the market today can offer you the horsepower per dollar value of MR. FREEZE!
All new Gen. 3 design with upgraded parts from previous gen. models including: Annodized aluminum tank, fluid level indicator, four corner mounting tabs, tested up to 30psi, 2 liter tank, larger fill cap and fluid drain port.
*Note, This is a universal product for multiple applications which means mounting and installation may require additional bracketry or mounting brackets to be made by the installer. ( Not supplied by AFM)
What we recommend
For water/methanol mixtures:
- Windshield Washer fluid: Only if it is blue in color and rated for -20 deg F. Check the ingredients! It should have no special additives. This means it is safe to use and made of about 30% methanol, 70% water. If it is another color or another temperature rating, do not use it! If you want to get a closer 50% mixture add 3 12oz yellow bottles of Heet® gas-line-antifreeze to every gallon of washer fluid.
- Mix your own: You just need to make sure the methanol is “neat” and contains no lubricants or other additives. We recommend a 50% mixture.
- Snow Performance sells "Boost Juice" which is a pure 50/50 mixture
- Not recommended for use with E85 fueled vehicles
Picking the correct jet for your application:
- Rule of thumb for this system is that it can be used as an octane booster and/or temp cooling agent (intake and cylinder pressure temps). We recommend that people using Mr. Freeze as a safety or cooling agent use the included small jet (0.35 size) Most of the time no tuning is required using this jet.
- If you are looking to get max cooling effort and octane booster out of Mr. Freeze, use the 1/16 jet (preinstalled into hose end) THIS MUST BE TUNED PROPERLY OR YOU WILL LOSE HORSEPOWER AND RUN RICH!!!!
Supercharger head units SAFE to run Mr. Freeze:
- Head units like the Vortech V3, V2, V1, V7, V30, SI, SCi, Ti, JT and YSI are safe to run the Mr. Freeze system.
- KenneBell 2.2 and higher liter head units are safe to run the Mr. Freeze system.
- DO NOT run in Eaton factory head units (ex. SVT Lightning, Cobra or supercharged Thunderbirds)
- Consult with the manufacturer directly of other popular head units to verify if water/methanol is safe to run in there product.
Other keys to Mr. Freeze:
- The Mr. Freeze system is not limited to Mustangs or Ford products only. Any and all manufacturers with a supercharger or turbo can experience the benefits Mr. Freeze offers.
- This system can be used on Turbocharged vehicles (consult with turbo manufacturer that water/methanol is safe to use on there head unit)
- No controllers, wires or electronics to install.
- For best results, we recommend having the jet pointing directly at the impellar of the supercharger/turbocharger head unit.
